Junior Athlete Development Program

The Program

The Junior Athlete Development Program delivered by Flinders University Sport and Fitness is a sports training and athletic support program aimed to assist developing youth athletes balance their commitment to sport with high school or equivalent endeavours. This program provides coaching and strength and conditioning training otherwise not available to this age group, aiming to bridge the gap between recreational and elite sport for youth athletes.

The Junior Athlete Development Program (JADP) aims to benefit junior athletes with unprecedented access to high level facilities and training environments with the support of our highly qualified staff. Our strength and conditioning team can tailor their support to work with each athletes’ program and sporting coaches or develop a sport specific program to suit your needs.

The JADP is modeled on our highly successful Athlete Development Program (ADP) structure, a scholarship only program offered to Flinders University students, boasting similar benefits and support as the JADP.

More Information

The program will be offered from Term 1, 2024, with this being the inaugural cohort for this program, following a successful delivery of its sibling program ADP for the last 8+ years. Training sessions will occur on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4:30 –  5:30pm alongside our scholarship ADP program, allowing the JADP athletes to experience a more mature (advanced) training environment and see what opportunities they can take to further advance their training and sport performance.
